Time to record your Cup Patterns! Use the following links to make your videos: Third Grade: flipgrid.com/9219c31e Fourth Grade: flipgrid.com/8bff59ea Fifth Grade: flipgrid.com/f0926381 Before you listen to the song below (to come up with your own 8 beat pattern), follow along with the YouTube video below. These are some sample patterns you might try. Here is what we can look forward to this week: K-2 students can bring a "beat buddy" with them to music. A beat buddy can be a small to medium sized stuffed animal or soft toy. We're going to explore some beat patterns and demonstrate steady beat with our buddies for the next few weeks. 3-5 students need to have a plastic cup for music. We're going to learn a cup game to work on our percussion skills and beat competency. They will also need to have access to a smooth flat surface for part of the lesson, like a table or floor. 4-5 students: We're going to wait on recorder lessons for a bit. If you would like to work ahead, there are videos and song sheets posted under "recorder karate". Everyone: If you haven't yet, please finish your FlipGrid videos for the instrument families. Scroll down for directions. Week 4 Visuals: Grades 3-5 (To the tune of "Can't Stop the Feeling") Grades K-2 (To the tune of "Old Town Road") |
